Meddle is the sixth studio album by English progressive rock group Pink Floyd, released on 31 October 1971 by Harvest Records. It was produced between the band's touring commitments, from January to August 1971. The album was recorded at a series of locations around London, including Abbey Road Studios and Morgan Studios.

With no material to work with and no clear idea of the album’s direction, the group devised a series of novel experiments which eventually inspired the album’s signature track, Echoes.

Arriving bereft of ideas, Pink Floyd did something that was becoming increasingly rare on Meddle: They collaborated together in the studio. At first, this didn't lead to much. The album, before its arrival on Oct. 31, 1971, was actually known as Nothing, Parts 1-24. Recorded in a series of locales around London between concert dates, Meddle eventually came together with help – both instrumentally and lyrically – from all four members, a stark contrast to the Roger Waters-dominated albums to come in the '70s.

Bootleg released as an official "EMI Russia" title. This follows in line with the mini LP series that was coming out of Japan and Europe. The packaging here matches the Japanese release in some aspects but not in others. The masters are also not the Japanese digital ones that were reworked post 2001. These are earlier sources where there is a clear, audible difference.
