quebec is the eighth album by Ween, released on August 5, 2003 on Sanctuary Records. It was the first album released after the band's contract with Elektra expired, and marked its return to independent labels. The song "It's Gonna Be a Long Night" is featured in the video game Tony Hawk's Underground 2 and in the TV show The Shield. The music video for "Transdermal Celebration" was animated by Adam Phillips.

The following is the discography of Ween, a Pennsylvania-based experimental alternative band formed by childhood friends Aaron Freeman and Mickey Melchiondo, better known by their respective stage names, Gene Ween and Dean Ween.

Quebec is the eighth album by Ween, released on August 5, 2003 on Sanctuary Records. The music video for "Transdermal Celebration" was animated by well known Disney animator Adam Phillips.

Album · 2002 · 15 Songs. Quebec was the result of hundreds of hours of writing and jamming that Gene and Dean Ween did with various session musicians after leaving Elektra in 2000. Working primarily out of the New Jersey studio of longtime collaborator Andrew Weiss (who not only produced and mixed the album but contributes keyboards and vocals to several songs), the band uncovered a new maturity level. That’s not to say its famously shaggy sense of humor didn’t remain intact-just check Hey There Fancypants for proof-but Quebec feels less frantic and less emotionally evasive than the old albums.

quebec is the 8th studio album by ween, released august 5, 2003. it features what many would describe as a more mature sound than past albums.

If Ween wanted to create an album consisting entirely of something different they they've both reached their ultimate goal and at the same time stood by their van. The roots of Ween are still sprinkled like paprika throughout, not as effective as you'd think but y'know a little red never hurt anybody. To me, this is Ween saying farewell. The entirety of Quebec waves to me, its a slow jamming laid back piece of work. Almost sad, in a way; as if the band will never be the same. Like they won't ever have another album like Pure Guava or release another Spongebob Squarepants worthy song.

It's about Ween; besides, quebec is a boring album- 'Guess what! It's Ween! We're insane for the entire first half! Surprised? . Throbbing -cheese-metal riffs carried over from Moistboyz side project opened the album almost as well as the fondly remembered "You Fucked Up" opened GodWeenSatan. Made me want to set my room on fire; instead I repainted it twice, both times blue, as Gene sang directly to me, "Don't call your mother/ Don't call a priest/ Don't call the doctor/ Call the police/ You bring the razor blade/ I'll bring the speed/ It's gonna be a long night.
