It features a single 40-minute track, telling a story in the distant future, when human civilization is about to end. Complete your Edge Of Sanity collection. Each Crimson album consists of one 40+ minute continuous song. It's hard to listen on vinyl with 1 second interruption every 4-5 minutes, without getting madly frustrated. They probably transferred the cd master onto the vinyls but without removing the gaps.

Edge of Sanity followed up their most successful album, Crimson, with this album. Crimson is in my top 10 albums of all time, it is regarded as THE Swedish death metal album, and is a highlight of the progressive metal and death metal genres. Crimson II'- like many sequels- can be the target of some controversy, as the result of following up such a successful concept work. Although I would tend to agree with the consensus that the sequel no where near reaches the same majesty as the original, 'Crimson II' is an excellent album with some fantastic moments of its own, and can stand alone as a strong work of progressive death metal.
