The four-song EP NO TRESPASSING was the first Roches album to not be released on Warner Brothers, which issued the sisters' first four records. It's clear from an initial listen that this effort marks a step forward in the creative evolution of the group. As is the Roches' wont, wordplay and varying degrees of humor and surrealism are nicely sprinkled throughout the songs. An alternately gleeful and wary romanticism empowers the whole set, as the Roches sisters' voices entwine as one, with novel harmonies adding cycles of tension and resolution.
