It peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart, number one in Canada and on the US Modern Rock Tracks chart, number two on the US Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, and number 26 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also reached the top 10 in Finland, Ireland, New Zealand and Norway.
