The Best of Carly Simon is singer-songwriter Carly Simon's sixth album, and her first greatest-hits compilation of previously released songs. Covering the first five years of her career, 1971 to 1975, the compilation includes six top ten hit singles, two minor hits ("Legend In Your Own Time", "Attitude Dancing") and two album cuts that were never released as singles ("Night Owl", "We Have No Secrets").

Greatest Hits Live (Carly Simon album). Greatest Hits Live is singer-songwriter Carly Simon's 15th album, second greatest-hits album and first live album, released in 1988. It is Simon's only live album to date. All the songs are live versions recorded on 35MM film from a 1987 HBO special shot on Martha's Vineyard called Carly Simon: Live from Martha's Vineyard, which was released in 1987 on VHS and in 2004 and 2010 on DVD.

Carly Simon was born 70 years ago today. A childhood stutter initially turned her to music (as she recalled, I did the natural thing, which is to write songs, because I could sing without stammering ), a path that's led to millions of record sales worldwide. These and such familiar hits as Anticipation and Haven't Got Time For The Pain grace THE BEST OF CARLY SIMON, an alluring 10-song snapshot of the first five years of her still-ongoing career. Happy birthday, Carly! Stream the album.

The fact that Simon had changed record labels several times (moving from Elektra to Warner Brothers to Epic to Arista) made a more wide-ranging collection a difficult proposition. A live album, Greatest Hits Live (1988), went some way to rectifying this issue, but the original recorded versions were eventually collected on the three-disc boxed-set Clouds in My Coffee (1995), the two-disc set Anthology (2003), and the single-disc compilation Reflections: Carly Simon's Greatest Hits (2004). Reflections went on to become a great success, and was certified gold by the RIAA in 2007
