The Voyage of Life is a series of paintings created by Thomas Cole in 1842, representing an allegory of the four stages of human life: childhood, youth, manhood, and old age. The paintings depict a voyager who travels in a boat on a river through the mid-19th-century American wilderness. In each painting the voyager rides the boat on the River of Life accompanied by a guardian angel. The landscape, each reflecting one of the four seasons of the year, plays a major role in conveying the story.

12" Vinyl UK. Mint Condition, MC007. Paul Hester s music has always had that ultra-deep edge to it, and this particular EP explores it in spades. Hands down, this record is a must for all lovers of the subterranean soundscapes that occupy the numerous late nights and early mornings, the still going dance-floors and that feeling of totally losing yourself in the music (for real)

The basic instrumental elements of progressive rock are heard loud and clear throughout the album, including Mellotron, harmonium, flute, and bells, and none with a minor role to play. Collins, Hackett, and Sally Oldfield all donate their voices to a few of the songs here, adding a nice touch to the heavy insertion of electronics
