is the debut studio album by American funk rock band . The group originally released the album on August 6, 2001 in Europe, where Kelis' Wanderland-produced by The Neptunes, consisting of . D members Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo-was better received juxtaposes hip hop and rock influences and styles, hosted by Leonard Nimoy.

This is the original electronic version of this album. It was released throughout Europe, but when it was about to be released in the US, Willams and Hugo rerecorded the album with a live band. Produced for Star Trak Entertainment. Track 8 & 12 Mixed for No Question Entertainment. All instruments arranged and performed for The Neptunes. Executive Producers: The Neptunes for Star Trak Entertainment & Rob Walker for RockSoul Entertainment. Management: Rob Walker for RockSoul Entertainment.

This is NERD’s first album. Regarded by some as their best, but I think that might be more nostalgia than anything. Let’s check how they score in the categories though. Category 1: Overall Theme/Tone: This album really doesn’t have a theme or tone to me. This album sounds like certain snapshots of what they were going through at the time. Because we all know Lapdance don’t sound NOTHING like Run to The Sun or Am I High? Maybe that was the point though. Or on She Wants to Move SHES’ SEXY! or BEAT IT! pretty good.

2002 UK 13-track CD album including the singles Lapdance Provider & Rockstar and featuring guest appearances by Kelis Lee Harvey & Pusha T picture sleeve CDVUSX216). which stands for Nothing Ever Really Dies) is the public face for hip hop producers Pharrell, Chad and Shay aka The Neptunes. Production wise these guys are so distinctive provides a new slant on a sound where so many jostle for space. By their own declaration, the first single to be released from the album, "Lapdance", attempts to raise political awareness amongst the youth by drawing a parallel between strippers and politicians. Whether this has been achieved is debatable but that said this booty shaking anthem has fast become a dance floor staple.

This record has a somewhat dodgy release history. Most of them were less than positive (though in Europe the record was quite acclaimed), and at the end of 2001 . decided to re-record the whole album.

Now this story is probably true - as the first album by the band driven by the powerhouse production team the Neptunes (though these are not interchangeable terms, as they went to great lengths to make clear in the promo interviews), there was a lot riding on this record, so it had better be right - but it certainly
