The South Shall Rise Again, You're Blasé. Phil Harris was very popular when I was a boy, and his comedy songs are both funny and CLEAN, with none of the swearing that seems to mark the current generation. Sort of Benny Hill on speed! Darktown Poker Club, Woodman Spare That Tree and other favourites are all on there, accompanied by the 'big band sound' of that era.

Living Era's compilation The Thing About Phil Harris presents 22 classic performances rescued from antique 78 rpm phonograph records and vintage radio broadcast transcriptions. Born January 16, 1904, in Linton, IN and raised in Nashville, TN, Phil Harris started out as a drummer with Francis Craig's band in Atlanta, GA. He made his way to California where he worked with the Henry Halstead Orchestra before assembling his own dance band in partnership with pianist Carol Lofner at the Coconut Grove in Los Angeles.

south says it will rise gain south is full of niggers and juggalos race war now? 12 months ago. Ayden Lewis. My cock shall rise again! 12 months ago. Adrian Johnson. Of course Americans are told history as if blacks were the only slaves and whites were the only masters and as if the civil war was about slavery which it was not. The fact is that Lincoln had the right idea about the blacks and if he was not assassinated America would be a nigger-free country.

In 1989, Harris briefly returned to Disney to once again voice Baloo, this time for the cartoon series TaleSpin. But after a few recording sessions he was replaced by Ed Gilbert. His last role was in the film Rock-a-Doodle (1991), directed by Don Bluth, as the friendly, laid-back Basset Hound Patou. Episodes of The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show turn up frequently on compact-disc collections of old-time radio classics, both on their own sets and amid various comedy collections. At least half the surviving episodes of the show's final season include Harris's audience warmup routine, performed for ten minutes before the show was to begin recording.

The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show, was a comedy radio program which ran on NBC from 1948 to 1954 starring real life couple Alice Faye and Phil Harris. Harris had previously become known to radio audiences as the ast-member of the same name on The Jack Benny Program while Faye had been a frequent guest on programs such as Rudy Vallée's variety shows.
