The Black Album is the sixteenth studio album by American recording artist Prince. It was released on November 22, 1994, by Warner Bros.

U Got The Look is the first track on the second disc of Prince's ninth album Sign O' The Times, and, three and a half months after the album's release, U Got The Look was released as the album's third single. The song also appears in the film Sign O' The Times in its studio form (all other tracks were included in live versions). In 1993, it was included as the 13th track on Prince's second compilation album The Hits 2 (also included as the second disc of The Hits, The B-Sides).

In 1982, Prince released the album 1999, which spawned the Billboard Hot 100 hits "1999", "Little Red Corvette", and "Delirious" throughout 1983, during which time he earned distinction as one of the first black artists to be played on MTV alongside Michael Jackson  .
