The two complementary but distinctive tenors Lew Tabackin and Warne Marsh stretch out on four jams in a quartet with bassist John Heard and drummer Larry Bunker. In addition, Tabackin is heard unaccompanied on "New-Ance," while Marsh has a ballad feature on "Easy"; the unidentified pianist on this track is most certainly Toshiko Akiyoshi. It is a pity that this enjoyable music was last out on this out-of-print LP from the defunct Inner City label, for it finds both Marsh and Tabackin in competitive and creative form.
