About Mark Holen: Born and raised in Flint, Michigan, Mark studied music at Central Michigan University, orchestral percussion at Indiana University, and Latin percussion with Franke Malabe and Louis Bauzo in New York. He has been composing and recording original music with his group, Zambomba, since 1978. His discography includes Bob Dorough’s Too Much Coffee, Man, featuring Phil Woods, Billy Hart, and Ray Drummond for Blue Note Records and Besame Mucho with David Leibman, Danilo Perez, and Bill Goodwin for Red Records

Les Fleurs du Mal – Die Blumen des Bösen (French and German: The flowers of evil) is the ninth album by darkwave band Sopor Aeternus & the Ensemble of Shadows, and was released in 2007. Anna-Varney Cantodea has explained that the title is not a reference to Charles Baudelaire's 1857 collection of poetry of the same name, but that "it is related to Jean Genet's novel Notre Dame des Fleurs.

At the heart of every track is a jazz ensemble, but the music owes much to electronica or orchestral influences rather than jazz, it is merely the palette of sounds & collaborative musicianship that carve the AJE musical landscape. 15 piece orchestra with Kit Downes on piano and Rhodes, Ben Reynolds on drums, Donna Gardier vocals, Finn Peters on saxophone, The Adderbury Ensemble string quartet and many more fine musicians.
