Let's Eat Grandma are a British pop group formed in 2013 by childhood friends Rosa Walton and Jenny Hollingworth. They released their debut studio album I, Gemini in 2016 through Transgressive Records. Their second studio album, I'm All Ears, was released in 2018 to widespread acclaim. Let's Eat Grandma describe their music as "experimental sludge pop". Rosa Walton and Jenny Hollingworth were both raised in Norwich, a city in Norfolk

In Let’s Eat Grandma’s vision of utopia, some days you might look like an alien; others, you wake up invisible. In a recent interview, the British duo-Jenny Hollingworth and Rosa Walton, both 19 and friends since d with the limits of gender as identity. Rather than be a body, said Walton, I wanna be a concept. Their second album takes matters a step further. I’m All Ears doesn’t just defy demographic stereotypes-it sounds like nothing else in pop right now. I, Gemini, the duo’s 2016 debut, felt childlike in the sense that it was quite literally written by children; back then, Walton and Hollingworth’s helium-pitch voices gave the impression of cartoon mice, even as they sang about dead cats and radioactive mushrooms.

It’s been just two years since the duo released their debut album as Let’s Eat Grandma, I, Gemini, and today their second, I’m All Ears, is out in the world. We didn’t take any time off at all. We wrote this album over the last summer while we were still touring the last album, explains Walton. We would spend our weeks writing and our weekends at festivals. There’s a lot of talk about traveling on the record because me and Rosa are always on the train. We live on the train.

Let's Eat Grandma Best friends since the age of four, ts Rosa and Jenny create imaginative and original music that crosses the worlds of experimental pop and progressive weirdness. I'm All Ears, released 29 June 2018 1. Whitewater 2. Hot Pink 3. It's Not Just Me 4. Falling Into Me 5. Snakes & Ladders 6. Missed Call (1) 7. I Will Be Waiting 8. The Cat's Pyjamas 9. Cool & Collected 10. Ava 11. Donnie Darko. Václav Pata It's pop and it's intellectual, yet I wouldn't call it sophisticated. The way they use all tools at their disposal is playful, jazzy, cool and little punk. I think their accents and structures of the songs make it British in a lovely way. I can't wait to ask a friend of mine about his opinion on Cool and Collected, because I think it's the best bloody post-rock song I've ever heard.

Second album 'I’m All Ears' sounds light years ahead of their debut. Two years ago, the two teenagers who make up Let’s Eat Grandma – Rosa Walton and Jenny Hollingworth – emerged with their debut, ‘I, Gemini’. The Norwich duo, friends since childhood, confidently described their debut in an interview with NME as experimental sludge pop before adding, our creative process is very much ‘go for i. The remainder of the interview sounded like the words of a band years into a career and not those of two seventeen-year-old college students who had just finished their GCSEs. The album heads into more trance-like territory further on, such as on the excellent ‘Falling Into Me’ which packs in dozens of creative curves in just under four minutes. Drones, dark-pop and dance all surprise, as does its distinctly darker lyrics.

I’m All Ears’ is the second album from Let’s Eat Grandma, the electronica duo comprising Rosa Walton and Jenny Hollingworth, and it shows impressive development from their precocious, if untidy, 2016 debut, ‘I, Gemini’.
