Two Sides to Every Story. Studio album by Gene Clark. 1976 at Fidelity Recording Studio. The album was produced by Thomas Jefferson Kaye. Guest musicians are Jeff Baxter, Emmylou Harris, Byron Berline, Al Perkins and John Hartford.

Two Sides to Every Story (1977). No Other is the fourth solo studio album by American singer-songwriter Gene Clark. Released in late 1974, it was initially a critical success but a commercial failure; the studio time and cost were seen as excessive and indulgent. The record label, Asylum Records, did not promote the album, and by 1976 had deleted it from their catalog Just after Clark's death in 1991, No Other was reissued in its entirety on CD. In 1998, a double disc compilation, Flying High, was released with three songs from No Other.

Gene Clark's 1974 album No Other has come to be seen as a masterpiece in the decades after its release, but that was hardly the consensus at the time, and the album's considerable production cost and negligible sales quickly made Clark persona non grata in the music business.

So I anxiously looked forward to hearing Two Sides to Every Story, a record that, as per Clark’s biographer John Einarson, was underappreciated in 1977. After listening to the 10 tracks on Story, I can understand why the album was not a commercial success. Story has been re-released by High Moon Records in a deluxe hardbound Eco-Book (actually, a booklet) with 26 color pages. A download card allows one to hear over 90 minutes of previously unreleased Gene Clark songs performed live in 1975. Here’s a look at the content of the album. Home Run King sounds like a Michael Nesmith tune

This song is by Gene Clark and appears on the album Two Sides To Every Story (1977) and on the compilation album Flying High (1998). I can only make guesses on some of my past addressesAnd tell you what my broken memory recalls.
