Area Code 615 was the name of a Nashville country rock band active in the late 1960s and early 1970s, taking their name from the telephone area code, which at the time covered all of Central and Eastern Tennessee. The band was made up of session musicians, recording only two albums before resuming normal session work. Several of the members were backing musicians for Bob Dylan's Blonde on Blonde and Nashville Skyline albums and on recordings by Billy Swan.

Area Code 615 released two albums. The first one was titled simply "Area Code 615" and cmae out in 1969. The second album "Trip In The Country" followed in 1970. The second one being my favourite album of all-time. Area Code 615" (the first album) consisted of 11 tracks mainly covers including their very own versions of The Beatles "Hey Jude", "Lady Madonna" and "Get Back". But the second one "Trip In The Country" featured more of their own material. From the opening track "Scotland" to the last track "Devil.
