It was back in 2016, with the release of her debut album Night Underground, that we were first introduced to the crunching rock n’ roll sounds of Donna Amini. Having been raised on traditional Persian music and classical violin pieces, Amini takes a broad range of influences and ropes them into a blistering sound that’s unlike anything else currently making the rounds. One of Sydney’s most unique rock acts Donna Amini has returned with Big Machine; a blistering slice of rock music that’ll stick with you for weeks. Throughout the new track, Amini stomps through bone-rattling percussion, reckless guitars, and arresting vocal delivery to craft a tune that’ll stick with you long after it reaches the conclusion of its three-and-a-half minute duration.

Underground is the second studio album by the American garage rock band, The Electric Prunes, and was released in 1967 on Reprise Records. It would be the final album of any materialized input by band members until the 1969 "New Improved" Electric Prunes were formed. The album was a moderate chart hit, but, without a hit-ready single, the band could not repeat their past success. In 2011, it was included in NME's "The 100 Greatest Albums You've Never Heard" list, chosen by Andrew VanWyngarden of MGMT.

Night underground - donna amini. In 2016 I was approached to design the album notes for the debut album of the lovely Donna Amini, Night Underground. Donna is a singer-songwriter who's music draws on her Persian heritage, folk and rock which results in a unique sound, that is truly her own. Starting with lyrics, notes and some images and after listening to the emotive nature of Donna’s music I was able to create something to reflect the beautifully moody Night Underground. The Velvet Underground (album). The Velvet Underground is the self-titled third studio album by American rock band the Velvet Underground. Released in March 1969, it was their first record with Doug Yule, who was a replacement for John Cale. Recorded in 1968 at TTG Studios in Hollywood, California, the album's sound-consisting largely of ballads and straightforward rock songs-marked a notable shift in style from the band's previous recordings.
