Beak (stylized as BEAK ) are an English electronic music band, consisting of Geoff Barrow (of Portishead) with Billy Fuller (Robert Plant) and Will Young (Moon Gangs), who replaced Matt Williams (MXLX, Fairhorns) in 2016. Beak released their self-titled debut album on 16 November 2009.

Uickabrod
There is a trend of musically diverse groups from Bristol going back to days of The Pop Group and Beak> is certaintly no exception. Its very Krautrock style here with ghost like vocals, organ synths and a stripped down but solid rythm section. Highlights for me are definately Ham Green with its build of tension before a very satifying monster distorted bass line hits you like an earthquake and Battery Point which in contrast is by far the most melodic track on this record sounding like your looking out to sea on an evening. There is also a lot of space in the music which keeps you on edge throughout. A good band
